One blistering sunburn can double your chance of developing melanoma.
In the sun or shade, this lightweight, buttery-soft hoodie will be your favorite piece while doubling as protection from the sun's rays.
Our Bamboo Everyday Hoodie blends the comfort of bamboo viscose, the strength of polyester and the stretchiness of spandex to create the perfect mix of comfort, protection and style.
A color-matched drawstring accents the hood which is fitted to allow room for a hat and a cross-over for neck coverage. Style is elevated with the V-notched side seams, a slight crop that hits your high waist and longer fitted wrist cuffs.
With versatility in mind, built-in UPF 50+ protection, and breathable fabric, this slightly cropped hoodie earns its spot as your everyday top.

The Women's UPF 50+ Bamboo Everyday Lightweight Hoodie is covered by the Somewhere Sunny 1 Year Warranty. This covers you from all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship beyond our return windows.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and is the rating given to clothing for its broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Our UV-protective clothing and accessories offer broad-spectrum protection that blocks 97 to 98% of UVA and UVB rays.
FYI: Broad-spectrum sunscreen and clothing protect against UVA (aging rays) and UVB (burning rays).
How Much UPF Do You Need?
When it comes to sun protection, more is better. UPF 30 blocks 97% of UV radiation while UPF 50 blocks 98%-100%.
Most people don’t realize that not all fabrics protect the same from the sun. The truth is, a regular, white cotton t-shirt may have a sun protective rating equivalent to wearing only SPF 5 sunscreen.
How Does it Work?
There are a variety of ways our fabrics do their work to keep your skin safe. We use hemp and viscose from bamboo, which both have significant natural UV-deterrent properties. We blend those fabrics with polyester and spandex to create our super soft clothing. In addition to the natural UV-deterrent, we apply an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) treatment to increase the ability of the material to prevent the sun’s harmful UV radiation from reaching your skin.
Another way we achieve sun protection with standard fabric is to use a tighter construction weave and heavier materials (known as gsm). We can accomplish this while maintaining the fabric's breathability.
